Ceremonies Officer- Dartford Registration Office
Role Responsibility
Ceremonies Officers are one of the first points of contact for couples booking a civil ceremony in Kent. They lead the frontline services in Register Offices and guide couples through the stages of booking and planning the legal aspects of their ceremony. The role offers the opportunity to meet a wide range of people and help them through one of the biggest days of their lives. Delivering outstanding customer service and demonstrating a high level of technical knowledge are key aspects of the role.
The main responsibilities involve delivering Legal Preliminary appointments, liaising with customers for all administrative aspects of their ceremonies, delivering Register Office & Civil Partnership ceremonies (both as a Registrar and Celebrant) and working as part of a team.
There is a high level of technical knowledge required with full training and support for the successful applicant. If you have excellent people skills, can adapt your communication style to different customers, have good attention to detail and good judgement then we would love to hear from you. This is a rewarding role which offers the opportunity to meet a wide range of people as you guide couples through their journey for their big day.
The successful applicant will work 37 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends, and may be required to undertake periods of lone working.
The role is delivered primarily at Dartford Registration Office and includes occasional working at other locations across Dartford and Swale districts.
