The Kent Registration Service at Danson House, Bexley are looking for Celebratory Officers to register and conduct their civil ceremonies; these include marriages, civil partnerships and renewal of vows.
We have annualised hours contracts available in Bexley for 248 hours. The salary will be paid in equal monthly installments over the year regardless of the hours worked that month.
The greatest proportion of the work will take place during peak ceremony times which under normal circumstances will be from April to September inclusive. These will take place across 7 days per week.
Whilst you will be allocated to a district base, the ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. This role can require long periods of standing.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
Candidates must be available to attend the following:
Assessment Days which will be held on Wednesday 4th September 2024
Interviews which will be held on Monday 9th September 2024.
If successful, you will be required to attend an induction day and ceremony observations before 14th October 2024.
Training for successful candidates which will take place 14th October - 16th October 2024
Salary is £25,127 pro-rata (This equates to £3,225 per annum based on a 248 hour per annum contract)
