Kent Country Parks Seasonal Catering Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Kent County Council, Country Parks team who provide leisure, educational, events, venue hire and café services across 9 Country Parks in Kent.

We seek casual catering assistants for one of our key sites; Shorne Country Park.

Shorne Woods Country Park is a 292 acre public open space with an on site visitor centre containing toilets, a gift shop, a function room and a very busy café.

The café caters for visitors with hot & cold food, snacks & drinks as well as a waffle and milkshake and ice cream kiosk & pizza oven in the summer months. We also cater for functions in our venue hire space for business meetings & private parties.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 Hygiene certificate.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in customer service and catering preferred .

The individual needs to be organised with strong customer service skills to ensure that visitors to the parks receive a quality café experience.

You will report to the Catering Services Manager who is responsible for the four Country Park café sites.

The role available is a casual zero-hour contract. Shifts will vary between 9am to 5.30pm on a scheduled basis, adjusting seasonally.

Closing date: 12^th May 2023, with interviews planned for the 17^th May 2023.
