Case Officer - Autistic Spectrum Conditions Team

Role Responsibility

Here in Kent those with Autism are looking for a person who can make their rights a reality. Kent County Council as an organisation is looking for someone to deliver the best approach there is for those with Autism.

We are looking for a person who will:

- Put co-production at the start of what we do.

- Can evidence “you said – I listened – we did”

- Who will inspire success

- Can evidence person centred practice

- A person who will ensure the person with Autism and their carers are at the centre of their community.

The ASC team is a specialist team providing an assessment, case management and short term enablement service to people with autistic spectrum conditions. The team also works closely with key health partners who carry out diagnostic assessments for autism.   

You will carry out assessments, develop support plans, and work in a person-centred way to find innovative solutions for individuals. It is key we keep people safe, driven by Making Safeguarding Personal alongside the intention that each person we support has choice and control in how their Care Act needs are responded to.

You will have experience of working with people with complex needs and/or autism, multi-disciplinary working; excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to user empowerment.  

We will offer you a supportive team, full induction and training programme and regular on-going supervision.

The Office location for this post will be at Kroner House, Ashford (please note this is a Countywide Service).

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
