Care worker

Role Responsibility

Gravesham Place Registered Care Centre has positions for Permanent Part Time Care Workers to work with Dementia and Non-Dementia Service Users.  Gravesham Place is an 80 bedded integrated Care setting offering Respite, Enablement and Assessment beds for adults.  We are situated close to town near to all transport links and the amenities of Gravesend.

You will be joining a team which provides person centred care supporting Service Users to maintain and improve their mobility and independence and achieve identified goals with the assistance of in-house Occupational Therapists.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a “can do” and caring approach.

Applicants must be flexible and reliable and willing to work a mixture of shifts which will include weekends and bank holidays.

Our set shift hours are.

Earlies - 7:00am – 2:30pm

Lates – 2:00pm – 9:30pm

Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to undertake NVQ 2 if they do not already have it.

Applicants must have good communication skills and the ability to interact with Service Users and their families.

To successful candidates we offer a comprehensive induction including The Care Certificate, in-house training, shadowing and regular supervision.
