Permanent Care Worker Posts Westbrook House Integrated Care Centre

Westbrook House Integrated Care Centre in Margate are looking to recruit to 2 x 35 hour and 2 x 28 hour Care Worker positions. The service has 30 beds across two units offering provision of various services, ranging from rehabilitation and enablement services through to respite, assessment, and Day care services for older adults and those who are living with dementia.

Applicants should have experience in health and social care, demonstrate high levels of person-centred care and have excellent communication and recording skills. Applicants should be able to interact positively and effectively with service-users, colleagues, carers and professionals.  You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, and be committed to maximizing the independence, choice, rights, and the inclusion of older people. 

You must be flexible, reliable, and willing to work a rota which will include early and late shifts, some weekends and bank holidays. You should have a Diploma/NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or demonstrate a willingness to undertake this qualification, and all other mandatory training that will be essential for the role.

Shifts are from 07.00 – 14.30 or 14.00 – 22.00 Day centre shifts are from 09.00 – 16.00

You will need to complete a full induction programme.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
