Care Worker
Role Responsibility
1 x 21 hours per week and 1 x 28 hours per week.
Blackburn Lodge Registered Care Centre offers permanent, assessment and respite for older people who experience general frailty. We are looking to appoint 2 care workers, one post for 28 hours per week and one post for 21 hours per week who can demonstrate the knowledge & skills required to care for older people. You must have good communication skills and be able to interact positively & sensitively with service users. You will be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to maintain accurate records.
You should have an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. A full induction and relevant training will be provided.
You will be reliable and flexible and be able to work between the hours of 7am and 9pm including bank holidays and weekends.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
