Cabinet Support Executive Assistant – Leader’s Office

Role Responsibility

Are you a confident communicator with a professional attitude and a passion for public service? We’re looking for an Executive Support Assistant to join our dynamic Cabinet Support Office, working alongside experienced Staff Officers to support the vital work of Kent County Council.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting Cabinet Members and senior officers with high-level administrative and communication tasks
  • Tracking, monitoring, and following up on information enquiries
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including Kent residents, MPs, and professionals

  • A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team
  • Someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional who can confidently manage relationships and represent the Council

This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Please note: predominately Maidstone office based (at least 4 days a week)
