You will be representing Kent County Council in the community and will be expected to deliver excellent customer service to the residents of Kent. The role forms part of a cross cutting team to investigate, design and deliver highway improvement schemes focusing on active travel particularly and working with all stakeholders such as Kent County Council members, district and parish councillors and the local communities as well as with colleagues within other teams.

Key aspects of the role will be to support the 3 main teams making up the Active Travel Team which are an infrastructure team concentrating on bidding for funding, design, delivery and supervision of projects, an interventions team which  develop innovative active travel measures/policies/strategies working closely with the community and a safer active journeys team who champion the development of training and promotional initiatives aimed at vulnerable road users including cyclists and pedestrians.
