Business Support Officer

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within our South Kent Children in Care Team. 

This is a temporary full-time maternity cover position for up to 9 months, working Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5.00pm, based at Poltons, Dover.

This role is key to providing professional support to Social Workers supporting children and families in South Kent and surrounding areas. 

We are looking for someone with a calm and organised approach who would like to make a positive contribution.  

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills.

You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines.

You will often be the first point of contact for our service and need to be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience and who is confident dealing with a variety of responsibilities and using a range of IT packages.

You will be responsible for handling sensitive information, checking and recording data, as well as liaising with colleagues to arrange and support a variety of meetings. 

You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely.
