“Making Kent a County that works for all children” – is our Mission Statement and we embed this in everything we do as a team, even if as administrators we don’t always work with and engage with our service users directly.

Countywide Services support a range of front-line teams across Youth Justice, Adolescent Social Work and School Attendance & Inclusion – naturally with such a broad spectrum of provision, we place a big emphasis not only on your initial induction but also your continued professional learning and development. When you join us you’ll receive:

  • A bespoke induction plan specific to your role + access to the ICS training directory
  • Regular supervision/1-1s with your line manager
  • A Personal Development Plan used to map out your training, development and career  objectives for the year ahead
  •  Access to accredited learning such as level 3/4/5 apprenticeships in Administration, Operational Management, Project Management or Customer Service
  • Membership to a dedicated Microsoft Teams page for ICS Business Support which is used as a forum for colleagues to share ideas, best practice and answer queries
  • Access to a range of KCC staff groups providing support and development opportunities to staff across our diverse workforce

Who are we looking for?

Some experience and skills in line with those outlined within the JD, however we are more concerned with your potential and aptitude for learning.

If you’re passionate about helping to improve the outcomes of the children of Kent, if you’re a quick learner and able to work at pace, we’d love to hear from you.

We require someone with excellent organisation and communication skills, who can proactively manage a workload whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will need to have strong administrative and IT skills, being able to collate and manage data. You will need to have a confident manner in liaising with the public and professionals, acting as an initial point of contact for our service. We are passionate and concerned about your potential and aptitude for learning and are willing to build on any skills necessary.

You will have an allocated base, however remote working can be expected for these roles.
