Business Support Officer

Role Responsibility

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join Integrated Children's Services working with the Early Help and Preventative Services (EHPS) in Gravesham. EHPS provides targeted support and open access services to children and young people aged 0-25 as well as their families. We require an organised person to join the Business Support team based at Northfleet Youth Hub, although there will be a requirement to cover other locations in the District when needed.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing full confidential administrative support to assist in the smooth running of Open Access provision.

The role requires someone with excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines.  You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data. You will also need to demonstrate a confident manner in liaising with the public, professionals, and organisations, acting as a contact point for the Service. The work is interesting, varied and demanding, and we need someone with a calm and organised approach who can make a positive contribution to the success of the team.

You will have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to demonstrate good communication skills whilst working under pressured timeframes. You will have the ability to work under your own initiative in a demanding environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible and travel within the local area will be required.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
