Join Our Team of Professional Business Services Officers
Are you a highly motivated individual, who can take a proactive role in the day-to-day running of an office? We are looking for a self-starter with strong organisational skills and confidence with financial processes. This is a great opportunity to broaden your administrative and business support experience while gaining a fascinating insight into the business-critical support that underpins Kent Trading Standards as well as other growth and community services.
This full-time role provides the opportunity of hybrid working with two days per week in an office, mainly in Ashford, and additional office attendance as required. The role sits within Growth, Environment & Transport (Growth & Communities) and reports to the Business Services Manager, Innovation & Business Intelligence.
The role involves:
- Acting as a first point of contact,managing post,shared mailboxes and telephone enquiries from members of the public and external agencies.
- Co-ordinating and monitoring complaints and Freedom of Information requests.
- Proof reading and accurate data input tasks.
- Financial administration: procurement of good and services,raising orders, processing invoices,and assisting Heads of Service with any finance related queries.
- Assistance with recruitment, supporting events,meetings and minute taking.
- Oversee the Trading Standards property store which involves assisting with routine audits and disposals.
