Business Support Officer - Short Term Pathways East Kent

As a Business Support Officer for Short Term Pathways Team you will be responsible for supervision and support of a small team of administrators and oversight, organisation and delegation of a range of tasks that need to be undertaken on a regular basis to ensure a smooth running service, focusing on the work for discharge planning for clients under the Older Persons Physical Disability (OPPD) remit. This post is within a team that works collaboratively with health and other partnership agencies and focuses on promoting a person’s independence.  

 

Our team in Short Term Pathways is creative, dynamic and diverse. The team are proud of the high standard of service we provide to our customers at their most vulnerable times, We are looking for motivated, experienced professionals who are interested in working within the Short Term Pathways, and keen to work with Acute, Community Hospitals. The successful applicant also needs to be flexible in their approach and committed to working in an integrated team and ready to embrace new ways of working, to help further shape our services

Whilst mainly working from home at the current time, a fixed working base will be discussed at interview

We are increasingly accessible to the public outside of traditional office hours, as we move towards an 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week service to ensure service needs  are met.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has: 

- An empathetic caring approach, with the ability to remain emotionally resilient 

- Excellent organisational, delegation and planning skills, ability to prioritise your own and a team workload and work well under pressure. 

- Brilliant interpersonal skills and experience of working with people and challenging situations. 

- Knowledge and understanding of computer based systems  

- Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development 

- Flexible in their approach and ready to embrace new ways of working

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible 
manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public
 
transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.
