Role Responsibility

Our team has a vacancy for a full-time Business Support Officer. This role is key to providing professional support to Early Help Workers supporting children and families in the Canterbury District. We are looking for someone with a calm and organised approach who would like to make a positive contribution.

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will often be the first point of contact for our service and need to be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience and who is confident dealing with a variety of responsibilities and using a range of IT packages. You will be responsible for handling sensitive information, checking and recording data, district finance processes and monitoring, as well as liaising with colleagues to arrange and minute a variety of meetings.  Our support is crucial to allowing Early Help Workers to focus on supporting local families.

The role is varied and interesting and we can offer opportunities for personal training and development within the service. You will be part of a wider East Kent team offering support to colleagues and families from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.  The role requires the post holder to work flexibly across 8 centres within Canterbury District; all equipment to enable you to undertake the job is provided.
