Business Support Officer - Children’s Social Work Team, Sevenoaks North Tonbridge & Malling

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within Integrated Children’s Services, Children’s Social Work Team, Sevenoaks North Tonbridge and Malling.  This is a permanent full-time position however a job share would be considered . The post is  based at Worrall House with some home working.

You will have good working knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS, Stream and MS Teams.  As well as confidence using database applications.   You will demonstrate a confident telephone manner and possess a high standard of spoken and written English.

Working within a confidential environment you will have the ability to take a high standard of meeting minutes.  You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data.  You will use your initiative to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment.  You will need to have the confidence and ability to deal with a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals on a range of matters and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.  You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
