Business Support Lead - Open Access Ashford

Role Responsibility

We are looking for someone with experience of providing excellent administrative support to join our busy Business Support team within Integrated Children’s Services.

As Business Support Lead you will be based at The Willow Centre in Ashford, working to provide services to children and families through the Children’s Centres and Youth Hub in the local area. In return you will be welcomed into a friendly and supportive team and be given regular supervision and training to develop within the role.

You will need to demonstrate a confident manner liaising with the public, professionals, and outside organisations as a point of contact for the service. As Business Support Lead you will supervise a team of Open Access Business Support staff, coordinating their work to cover Centres in the District and monitor team performance. You will work closely with colleagues across South Kent and liaise with Delivery Managers and Early Help Workers in the centres.

You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to proactively manage your workload, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will have strong administrative, minuting and IT skills and the ability to collate information and manage your time effectively.

The work is interesting, varied and demanding. We need someone with a calm and organised approach who can make a positive contribution to the success of the team with a can-do attitude.

The role may incorporate some homeworking, but you will also need to be able to travel across the Ashford area to the various centres in a timely and flexible manner.
