Business Support Coordinator

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Business Support Coordinator for the Countywide Business Support Team, providing support to the Homes not Hospitals Team.

The Homes not Hospitals Team is aligned under the Forensic Service and undertakes discharge planning for people with a learning disability and/or autism who may be placed in secure, acute or private/specialist in-patient units.

This is an excellent opportunity to help shape future business support, making this an exciting time to join our service. We are looking for an administrator that is computer literate, with the ability to use a range of IT systems and packages to ensure a high level of accuracy with data collation and inputting. You will possess strong Excel skills and have experience of tracking and processing invoices for payment.

You will be able to work well within a busy team, prioritise your work, demonstrate flexibility, and bring new ideas while thinking “outside the box”. Possessing excellent communication skills is essential as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. This is a challenging, varied, and exciting role that requires you to multitask whilst working under pressure.

We are looking for someone who possesses the same cultural attributes and values as the organisation, alongside good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.

The successful candidate must be able to travel on occasions, as meetings and training are held at different sites across the County.

The contractual base is Invicta House, Maidstone, plus hybrid working.

This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
