Business Support Coordinator

As an Business Support Coordinator for Short Term Pathways Team & Occupational Therapy Team, you will be responsible for providing telephone and face to face support to our staff that work in the community, service users and their families, dealing with enquiries and information that is sensitive, undertaking timely accurate recording on multiple different bespoke systems. You will be part of a team that works collaboratively with internal and external partners and focuses on promoting a person’s independence following their discharge from hospital as well as ongoing occupational therapy.

    • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure 
    • Brilliant interpersonal skills and experience of working with people and challenging situations. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer based systems
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development 
  • Ability to travel to and work within Kent County Council offices

This post is a full time position 37 hours per week and working hours are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Kent County Council is a hybrid working company allowing staff the flexibility to work across a number of offices alongside working from home, for this role there is a requirement to work from an office base a minimum of 2 days per week once their initial training and induction period is completed, during induction there will be a requirement to work from an office more than twice per week.

If the demands of the service change, there may also be an expectation for you to work weekends and bank holidays and this would be on a rota basis and paid at an enhanced rate. However, the service does not currently require weekend or bank holiday working.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
