Business Support Assistant

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a Business Support Assistant to cover an internal secondment (up to 9 months) within our busy and varied Operations Team supporting Learning and Development across Kent County Council and beyond.  

The Learning and Development Team is part of the Human Resources and Organisation Development Service.  We provide a wide range of learning and development opportunities including face to face training, virtual online sessions and e-learning.  Annually, we provide over 700 training courses and circa 60,000 e-learning courses are undertaken.

As part of a small team, you will work with Learning and Development Advisers to set up training courses, liaising with customers, trainers, venues and colleagues. As such, you will use your administrative experience to prioritise requirements and you will have excellent organisation and customer service skills in carrying out the role.  

The position involves the regular use of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.  You will also use Kent systems on a daily basis for which training will be provided.  

A comprehensive induction and support will be offered.
