Business Support Assistant
Role Responsibility
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Business Support Assistant to join our Central Monitoring & Compliance (CMC) team within Integrated Children’s Services.
This is a key administrative role supporting the delivery of critical statutory functions across the service. You will play an important part in ensuring that processes, data, and workflows are managed efficiently, accurately, and within required timescales.
The CMC team is a countywide service providing oversight and support across a range of compliance areas, including Subject Access Requests (SARs), data management, and reporting functions.
As a Business Support Assistant, you will:
- Support the day-to-day administrative functions of the team and the wider service.
- Maintain accurate electronic records on relevant data recording systems, including information management systems, databases and electronic filing systems.
- Support in the production of regular reports from data recording systems.
- Act as a point of contact for the wider team and ensure that all requests are dealt with efficiently and consistently. This will include dealing with queries, assessing the nature of telephone calls, and referring on to the appropriate person.
- Provide general business support to projects as required.
- Support services with Subject Access Requests
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational skills and can manage competing priorities
- Is confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with a specific interest in Power Automate and Power BI.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and data protection
- Is motivated, adaptable, and keen to learn
