Business Support Assistant - The Meadow Children's Centre

Role Responsibility

The Early Help and Preventative Services (EHPS) division provides targeted support and open access services to children and young people aged 0-25 as well as their families.

We require an organised person to join the Business Support Team based at The Meadow Children's Centre, although there will be a requirement to cover other locations in the Maidstone District when needed, some of which are in rural areas.  The role is part time and we are looking for an individual to work 18.5 hours per week over Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday.   

You will be responsible for providing full confidential administrative support to assist in the smooth running of Open Access provision, supporting the opening and closing of buildings as well as being the first point of contact for staff, visitors and partners.

You will have good IT skills, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain and process accurate and timely records. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
