Business Support Assistant- Family Hubs

Role Responsibility

Our team has a vacancy for a Full Time Business Support Assistant 8.30am - 4.30pm based at the Tunbridge Wells Family Hub (Sherwood), although you may be required to cover other centres in the Tunbridge Wells district.  This role is key to providing professional administrative support to practitioners supporting children and families. We are looking for someone with a calm and organised approach who would like to make a positive contribution.

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will often be the first point of contact for our service and need to be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience and who is confident dealing with a variety of responsibilities and using a range of IT packages. You will be responsible for handling sensitive information, checking and recording data, as well as liaising with colleagues to arrange a variety of meetings.

The role is varied and interesting and we can offer opportunities for personal training and development within the service. You will be part of a wider West Kent team offering support to colleagues and families. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
