Business Support Apprentice

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join The Office of the General Counsel and Democratic Services within Governance and Law. This is a great opportunity to gain a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration whilst working for a large, diverse, rapidly changing organisation.

The Office of the General Counsel is an important interface between Kent County Council and Invicta Law.  The team is responsible for corporate legal issues and the management of the contract with Invicta Law.  The team is a small team of ten. Headed up by Ben Watts, General Council, deputised by Gurpreet Singh Barrister.

Democratic Services offer integral support to Members, Scrutiny and Education Appeals this is a larger unit that has established to uphold a high level of support to various aspects of Democratic Services.

The purpose of the role is to provide day-to-day clerical and administrative support for the taking a proactive role in the team’s day-to-day functioning, assisting in the smooth running of support functions.

The position will be based at Sessions House, Maidstone. Currently working both from home and in the office.
