Business Administration Apprentice
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Administration Apprentice to work within our Public Protection Business Services team.
This placement will provide the opportunity to earn a salary and obtain an NVQ qualification, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience of working within a busy office-based admin team supporting a range of diverse services.
We will support you over an 18 month placement period, to achieve a Business Administration Level 3 (Advanced) qualification to enable you to develop administration skills, customer service, verbal communication and IT skills.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude who is motivated and keen to learn quickly, with good keyboard skills and competent in the use of computers. You will undertake a range of administrative duties, responding to generic emails and answering the telephone working primarily to support Kent Trading Standards and Business Development. The role requires good customer awareness, a confident telephone manner and attention to detail.
You will initially be working from home due to COVID-19 restrictions using IT equipment provided but there will be a mixture of office/home working subject to business needs and demands. You may be required to travel across the county at different times to attend meetings and assist at events.
The Apprentice salary starts at £173.91 per week, with the opportunity to increase based on performance.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
