Building Officer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a building Officer to join our Facilities Management team. Overseeing the day-to-day Facilities Management operations of KCC’s Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Children (UASC) portfolio.
What you’ll do:
Delivering day to day operational support of a number of buildings to ensure the accommodation and services are delivered to a high standard. Liaising with building stakeholders and managing contractors. Oversee the ongoing programme of building audits and performance across a range of services to ensure continuous improvement, building standards, compliance and H&S requirements are met. Ensuring building safety, functionality and efficiency whilst delivering excellent customer service to all building users.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of Facilities Management
- High level of experience of partnership working within a public sector setting
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and building compliance
- This role will require travel across the county and office estate.
- This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of a specified building. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the building safety, functionality, and efficiency, while providing excellent customer service to our staff and partnership agencies.
