Building Officer

Role Responsibility

The Operational Office estate team provides exceptional customer service to our professional clients, KCC staff and members of the public that attend our estate. We are committed in providing a high standard of office facilities and environment to our staff, helping them have the right tools and space to be able to carry out their service for the Council.

We are seeking a skilled Facility Management Building Officer to oversee the maintenance and operations of our office.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the office and operational function of the building ensuring the building runs smoothly, including the contractual interface.

Supervise, motivate, and develop our front of house team for directly delivered services i.e., reception, mailroom operatives, security ensuring a high level of customer services for all users.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
