Brokerage Officer (Supported Living)

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Supported Living Brokerage Officers to join our established team, sitting within Countywide Services. This is a fixed term post initially until 31st March 2026, secondments would also be considered.

You will be responsible for the sourcing of Supported Living Placements, which will involve identifying, brokering and liaising with providers and social workers to secure appropriate placements, based on individuals’ needs, taking a holistic view of accommodation settings. You will be required to manage a comprehensive, coordinated and efficient referral process to ensure the timely commencement of appropriate placements. The postholder will need to be confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be highly organised, flexible, and able to prioritise your work.

The offer:

  • This role is a KR8 with a starting salary of £28,995 per annum, which will be subject to an annual uplift in April 2025.
  • Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with KCC contributions totalling 21.3%

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
