Assistant Service Manager
Role Responsibility
32 hours per week worked across a range of hours including 6pm finishes and weekend working.
Libraries, Registration and Archives (LRA) now has an opportunity for a permanent full-time Assistant Service Manager for Ashford District.
We are looking for someone to manage the delivery of Library, Registration and Archive services within Ashford District, ensuring that the services are cost effective and are focused on the needs of local people. You will implement any developments and improvements to the service within agreed deadlines and in accordance with corporate and service policies and procedures.
You will manage a team of staff, developing and engaging them through support and effective supervision to provide a high quality service in line with LRA’s and Kent County Council’s (KCC) priorities and in a way that enhances performance levels.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
