Assessment Officer

Role Responsibility

As an Assessment Officer you will guide applicants through the assessment process, complete a series of checks, and make criteria-based decisions ensuring our most vulnerable residents are provided with the support they require.

The service has been at hand during both the COVID-19 pandemic and the more recent Cost of Living increases to support residents of Kent when it has really mattered. we are looking for people to join the team on a fixed-term contract who want to experience front line services that can really make a difference to people’s lives.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  1. A high level of compassion and empathy towards applicants
  2. A passion for providing excellent customer service
  3. That you are a team player
  4. That you can work autonomously
  5. Diligence for recording information
  6. An ability to work at pace

You will need to be a competent Microsoft Office user and have experience with different types of assessment tools.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

KSAS offers hybrid working, with the option to work remotely from home available once service training has been completed at Invicta House, Maidstone.
