Arranging Support Senior
Role Responsibility
This is a permanent position, working within the Arranging Support Community team. It is an exciting role for a confident, proactive and positive individual, working within Adult Social Care, managing and coordinating community support for the Adult Social Care and Health directorate.
You will be required to provide supervision, training, and development for the Arranging Support Officers. You will ensure that referrals are managed in a timely manner, finding placements to meet need, using KCC contract processes and negotiating with providers to ensure best value. You will be highly competent with Microsoft packages, comfortable using or learning Power Bi and Power Automate.
The post holder will be required to work with the internal and external stakeholders, this will include Health, care providers, finance and operational teams. You will also work flexibly to cover the other Arranging Support teams when required. You will be able to deal with issues of a confidential and sensitive nature appropriately. You will have excellent IT skills as tasks include inputting, updating, modifying and retrieving data on systems and running reports, the ability to problem-solve is essential.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the needs of the people support, management skills, excellent IT skills, and the ability to organise work whilst meeting deadlines. You will be a confident, flexible, strong communicator who works well within a busy team. You will have excellent change management skills and a good understanding of Adult Social Care. The ability to problem-solve is essential as there is a need to investigate and respond to complaints. You will be able to travel around the county in a timely manner if required. Full induction and training will be given.
