Apprentice - Public Service Operational Delivery Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Leaver to undertake a Public Services Delivery Office Apprenticeship Level 3 working for our Care Leavers 18+ Service within Integrated Children’s Services. The role is based at Thistley Hill in Dover.
A Kent County Council Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to earn a real salary and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.
The 18+ Leaving Care Service provides support for Care Leavers aged 18-25yrs, supporting them with their: Education, Training, Employment; accessing accommodation having financial stability, and emotional well-being as they move into adulthood.
As part of the 18 + Team you would work with staff members within the team and external providers to help and develop projects and initiatives with accommodation, education, employment and training, social media whilst promoting the voice of the care leaver.
We are looking for:
- a caring individual with good communication skills
- someone who enjoys interacting with young people while being a good role model
- someone who is motivated and keen to learn

Our Offer:
- A starting salary of £14,952 per annum during the probation period. Upon completion of the probation period, salary would be £21,293 per annum.

The post would work from the 18+ Leaving Care office based in Dover.

For Kent Care Leavers currently open to the 18+ Care Leaver Service, your Personal Adviser can carry out a needs assessment with you to see if there is additional support the service can offer you during your apprenticeship, e.g. travel costs.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
