Role Responsibility

Are you passionate about analysing data to inform decisions and help others understand if they are making the best use of their resources? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an analytical mind looking for their next challenge. In this post you will be part of a new, dedicated evaluation function within the wider Kent Analytics service.

Working as part of the wider, multi-disciplinary analytics team, you will be part of a small team of evaluation specialists. You will use your technical skills to support the evaluation lead in developing and embedding evaluation across the Council. You will have experience of applying your analytical skills to analyse and interpret data as well as strong problem-solving skills. You will have practical experience of undertaking analysis in a public sector environment, or similar, drawing on a range of analytical approaches.

You should have technical skills or knowledge, ideally covering quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, be flexible in your approach and able to understand and execute appropriate methodologies. You will be able to generate and communicate insight reports, with the aim of enabling senior leaders to take decisions on services or the strategic direction, that are evidenced-based.

As an employee of Kent County Council, you will receive training suitable for the role and to support your development, along with excellent benefits, including 28 days annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible working.
