Adolescent Service Permanent Relief Practitioner
Role Responsibility
Do you recognise Adolescence as a difficult time? and REALLY hard for some young people and their families? Do you have a desire to support those from marginalised communities who are often disproportionately represented within the Youth Justice system?
We’re looking for people who are highly skilled at building positive, empathetic and constructive relationships with adolescents and their carers. We are more interested in who you are than in what you’ve studied. It’s more important to us that you want to influence change for those who don’t get the same opportunities as others.
We need practitioners who are resilient and persistent; solution-focussed and who want to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to thrive. Can you look beyond challenging behaviours and inspire young people from a range of backgrounds to recover from trauma and to reach their potential?
We’re looking for outstanding, flexible, sessional practitioners (zero hours) to work across Youth Justice, Early Help and Adolescent Social Work. Whether you’re looking to work Monday-Friday 9-5 or for a few weekend or evening hours, we can discuss what you, and what we, need.
We offer excellent training in case formulation, contextual safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches. We’re currently offering trauma-informed supervision to make sure we really look after our workforce.
While successful candidates will need an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, having your own experience of the justice system isn’t always a barrier to working with us. We also welcome candidates who have personal experience of the care system. If you’d like to talk to us about this before applying, please contact Rose-Marie Field on 03000 421098.
