This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the ability to work well under pressure and manage a variety of conflicting priorities.

This post is based at Worrall House, Kings Hill for our  West Kent North and West Kent South Kent Enablement at Home teams and is vital, to ensuring that the busy teams can support as many adults as possible with short term enablement services in the community.

We are looking for motivated and proactive people, who want to make a difference to the community, within a team that work collaboratively with internal and external partners and focuses on promoting a persons independence. You will also needs to be flexible in their approach and ready to embrace new ways of working to help further shape our services.

This is an exciting and multi-faceted post involving the daily use of computerised systems, recording, and relaying essential information as necessary within the team, accurate maintenance of records and great emphasis on working as part of the immediate and wider teams. You will also be in day to day contact with individuals using the service, or their families via telephone and e-mail so excellent communication skills are essential for this role

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wide operational area including travelling around the county of Kent and beyond to transport children and their belongings and be available to do so in an emergency.  You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve you transporting people and equipment to venues in very rural areas, often with limited public transport.
