Two opportunities have arisen for motivated and committed Administration Officers to join our East Kent Disabled Young People’s Teams. These full-time posts will be based in Whitstable, Ashford, Margate or Dover (with some home working) for a period of up to six months. You will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager. The teams support disabled young people aged from 16 to 25 years of age.
You will need to be highly organised, be able to prioritise your work and be flexible to meet the needs of the team. Good administrative skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. The role requires good teamwork as well as the ability to work independently to meet the needs of the service. Training and formal supervision will be provided.
This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
