Administration Officer

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed full time Administration Officer to join the Ashford, Canterbury & Coastal Disabled Young People’s Team.  This post will be based at Brook House in Whitstable but will involve some travel to Ashford as the team works across two sites.  You will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager.  The team supports disabled young people aged from 16 to 25.

You will need to be highly organised and able to manage competing claims on their time.  Good office skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential.  A key part of the role will be using in-house finance systems so confidence and experience with finance work and databases are desired.  Support from team members and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
