Administration Officer - South Disabled Young People’s Team

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed part time Administration Officer to join the South Disabled Young People’s Team. This post will be based at Thistley Hill in Dover or Rainbow Centre, Ashford.  We are currently operating a hybrid working arrangement so there will be the opportunity for a mix of office and some home working. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager. 

You will need to be highly organised and able to manage competing claims on your time. You will have good office skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. A key part of the role will be using in-house finance systems, therefore confidence and experience with finance work and databases is required. Support from team members and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
