Administration Officer - Out of Hours

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Kent and Medway Out of Hours Team based in Ashford. We are seeking to recruit two highly motivated, friendly and supportive Administration Officers. There are two part time posts available, both for 24.5 hours per week.

 The Out of Hours Service provides essential Social Work cover for children and adults across Kent and Medway children’s services.

We are looking for experienced administrative staff to support the service who:

• Are able to work evenings, nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays (including Christmas and Easter).
• Are committed to maintaining high standards.
• Are resilient, flexible, adaptable, forward thinking and positive about improving services outside normal working hours.
• Are able to work at speed and under pressure, whilst maintaining excellent administrative skills.
• Have excellent communication skills and are highly competent in and committed to the use of Information Technology including service user case management systems.
• Are interested in broadening their knowledge and skill base to incorporate working in an environment that deals with children and adults, including adult Protection.
• Are looking for a change from the 9–5 routine.
• Are able to cope with shift/unsociable hours working.
