Administration Officer - Kent Prisons Social Care team
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer supporting the Dartford Gravesham and Swale Business Support Team (BST) to provide administration support to assist in the smooth running of the Kent Prisons Social Care team. This is a rare opportunity and exciting new challenge for an experienced Administrator to join the Swale team to focus on this specialist area of work.
Administration Officers are an integral part of the Adult Community Team within the Adult Social Care Directorate and are the first point of contact for members of the public and professionals dealing daily with a variety of enquiries of sensitive nature by phone and email. This role will be supporting the Occupational Therapist and Social work staff with administration tasks.
We are looking for someone who possesses excellent organisational and IT skills with experience of problem-solving with a confident telephone manner.
This is a challenging, varied and exciting role that requires you to multitask whilst working under pressure where you will be required to resolve complex queries in a timely way.
Working as part of a team or on your own means at times you will be required to prioritise your work and meet deadlines and there is a requirement to input data and cross reference information accurately.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person specification.

The role will be based at Swale Local Office, but during the pandemic you will be expected to work from home once an induction has been completed.

Starting salary £19,335 per annum
37 hours per week
