Administration Officer - Front Door Service (KCC Integrated Children’s Services)
Role Responsibility
Join a dedicated team making a real difference for children and families
Are you looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Here at the Front Door Service, part of KCC Integrated Children’s Services, we play a vital role in receiving and responding to all requests for support for children and families at an intensive level or above. Our mission is to ensure that every request is directed to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention.
We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Administration Officer to join our busy team. The Business Support Team delivers comprehensive support to integrated teams of Team Managers, Senior Social Workers, and Front Door Officers. In this role, you’ll need to demonstrate excellent IT and problem-solving skills, as well as confidence when dealing with both professionals and members of the public over the telephone. Handling highly sensitive and confidential information is a key part of the job.
There are several diverse roles within the team that you will be trained to undertake. It’s important to note that most tasks have a strong data entry focus, so accuracy and the ability to work at pace are essential.
This is a busy and sometimes pressurised environment, so we’re looking for applicants who can demonstrate resilience, quick thinking, and sound professional judgement under pressure, all while maintaining a calm and professional manner.
The Offer
- A starting salary of £25,252 with performance-related pay increases
- Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with KCC contributions totaling 21.3%
- 28 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 30 after 5 years' service) plus bank holidays and a concessionary day
- Flexible working – currently one day in our office at Kroner House, Ashford, and four days working from home (subject to change)
- All necessary equipment provided for remote working
If you’re ready to bring your skills to a role where you’ll make a real impact, we encourage you to apply and become part of our committed and supportive team.
