Role Responsibility

Administrator for Kent and Medway Communication and Assistive Technology Service (KM CAT)

The KM CAT service is a specialist service which is jointly funded and staffed through multiple agencies across health (NHS and Local NHS Services) and KCC. We provide support to children and young people who have complex communication needs who attend schools in Kent and Medway. 

This is mainly an administrative role but includes some site co-ordination responsibilities as well. The post holder will be working alongside our multi-disciplinary teams to provide admin support for the team and ensure that our site is maintained and safe for staff and any visitors who attend site. This is an office based, customer facing role for the KM CAT Service and supporting other services co-located at our office in Ashford.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Pay Grade: KR5 (£20,595 to £21,693 pro rata)

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 0830 – 1630

Post commences: October 2022
