Active Lives CYP Survey - Assistant Officer

Role Responsibility

Term Time Only – 42 Weeks

Location(s): Active Kent & Medway, Worrall House, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent, (travel required throughout Kent) NB: Hybrid working re: office, schools, and home working.

Active Kent & Medway is one of 43 Active Partnerships in England. We are hosted by Kent County Council and funded by Sport England. Our vision is ‘more people, more active, more often’ and we work with a wide range of partners to help achieve this.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Officer to work with selected schools to deliver the Sport England Active Lives Children and Young People survey across Kent and Medway.  The role includes contacting schools to encourage them to take part, visiting schools to support in the completion of surveys, providing advice around helping to increase levels of physical activity in schools and promoting the survey to schools and other relevant organisations.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working in schools, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decision makers, as well as strong organisational skills with the ability to achieve targets.

As this role involves working in schools, the hours of work will spread across 42 weeks per year, primarily term times.

This role is subject to holding a full UK Driving Licence.  The successful candidate must be able to drive and have access to a car. 

This post is funded by Sport England and the fixed term role is until 31st July 2025.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
