Accounting Technician

Role Responsibility

We are seeking to recruit a KR7 Accounting Technician to Kent County Council’s Revenue Finance (0-25 Team). The post is offered on a fixed term, full time basis, 37 hours per week until the 30th April 2025.  The primary location for this post is Sessions House, although the post currently involves working from home, with some office working as required at Maidstone.

You will carry out work as part of the forecast process.  You will also support other team members as they work with Budget Managers in the service departments, ensuring efficient and consistent practices are in place. You will have excellent spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel) and be a competent user of other Microsoft Office software including Teams, Word and Outlook. You must also be able to work with a high level of accuracy, be able to interrogate data, have good communication skills, think innovatively, and meet tight deadlines.
