Accountant Level 2

Role Responsibility

The role is KR10 Accountant Level 2, permanent full-time, 37 hours a week. 

The Schools, High Needs and Early Years team are responsible for calculating, publishing and paying school budgets, and work closely with schools across Kent as well as colleagues in CYPE, The Education People and relevant Government Departments.  The team also lead on Early Years funding and make payments to private, voluntary and independent (PVI) Early Years providers.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge or experience of Early Years funding, as well as payments and budget monitoring.   You will lead on the implementation of early years funding arrangements for Kent Early Years providers, calculating funding rates and ensuring adherence to conditions of grant.  You will also develop and maintain appropriate systems and mechanisms to ensure correct payments are made to providers and prepare forecasts for such spending.   Excel skills are essential for the role.  Please see full details in the attached Job Description.
