Access to Education Administration Assistant

Role Responsibility

The Access to Education team are looking for an organised individual, with an eye for detail. You will support the Local Authority (LA) to meet statutory responsibilities in regard to the identification, monitoring, recording and tracking of children who are applying for a school place through the In Year Casual Admissions process, Missing Education, Electively Home Educated and young people likely to become NEET.    

To be considered for this role, you should have sound knowledge of IT, excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills. You will understand the importance of maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in your work.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

A half day virtual assessment will be held on Wednesday 5th January 2022. This will be followed by a short interview section process to be held on Thursday 6th January 2022.
